Position Description
Project Handlers at Fast DMS are responsible for managing execution, customer service, and P&L for each assigned project. Project Handlers have a high degree of ownership and autonomy regarding customer projects and are expected to complete tasks with persistence and creativity.
Position Daily Activities
- Contact customers and vendors daily by phone and email
- Make independent decisions regarding vendor selection
- Collect and synthesize data necessary for complete project pricing
- Read engineering drawings and identify important elements
- Inspect incoming parts for conformity to relevant specifications
- Adeptly operate within Fast DMS’s highly automated suite of software tools
- Use commercial software such as Acrobat, MS Office, Dropbox
- Day travel within the Greater Phoenix area for site visits, pickups, and dropoffs
Candidate Requirements
- Passion for manufacturing in general
- Superb organization skills, both digitally and on paper
- Comfort in flexible environments with evolving goals
- Assertive and conscientious communication with machine shops and engineers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to compose a respectful, conscientious, yet assertive email or phone call
- Exceptional technology skills
- Comfort and familiarity with tools found in a typical machine shop, such as screwdrivers, drills, saws, etc
Bonus Requirements
- Experience with 3D and 2D CAD
- Experience working as a mechanical engineer or technician at a company with a manufacturing emphasis
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Comfort and familiarity with specialized tools found in a manufacturing environment, such as mills, lathes, vernier calipers, etc
- 2- or 4- year degree or certificate in a manufacturing field
- Experience with business procurement and familiarity with accounting best practices
- Comfortable traveling internationally to engage with vendors in China, Taiwan, Australia, Mexico, etc.

Logistics Handler (Warehouse)

Position Description
Logistics Handlers at Fast DMS are responsible for receiving, handling, inspecting, packing, and documenting incoming and outgoing parts.
Position Daily Activities
- Inspect incoming parts for as directed by a Project Handler
- Organize and Document parts as directed by Fast DMS written SOPs
- Pack and ship outgoing parts as directed by Fast DMS written SOPs
- Adeptly operate within Fast DMS’s highly automated suite of software tools
- Use commercial software such as Acrobat, MS Office, Dropbox
- Day travel within the Greater Phoenix area for site visits, pickups, and dropoffs
Candidate Requirements

Controller

Position Description
The Controller at Fast DMS will oversee and perform all accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and financial reporting functions and will also be responsible for driving financial performance, analyzing results against established goals and metrics, while maintaining the overall financial health of the firm.
This exciting role is our first accounting hire. The ideal candidate is well versed in building accounting procedures, internal controls and teams and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. The Controller is expected to have excellent interdepartmental and cross-functional skills in order to manage and maintain the budget and forecasting process and communicate accounting data effectively. This position also involves frequent collaboration with software engineers, back-end operations and outsourced resources to create automated systems and improve processes.
Position Daily Activities
- Perform all full-cycle accounting transactions including but not limited to A/P and A/R, payroll, general adjusting entries with adherence to GAAP
- Manage the chart of accounts, ledgers and subledgers
- Publish all financial statements by month, quarter and year-end close deadlines
- Perform all balance sheet, banking and credit card account reconciliations
- Work closely with external CPA firm to manage and review all bookkeeping, tax and assurance items and requirements
- Manage and forecast all cash inflows, outflows and working capital
- Adeptly operate within Fast DMS’s highly automated suite of software tools and use commercial software such as Acrobat, MS Office, Dropbox, Quickbooks, Gusto
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
- 5-10 years of progressive GAAP experience, including at least 2-5 years in Controller or equivalent roles managing and developing accounting processes, systems and teams in fast-paced and rapid growth firms
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to concisely and accurately interpret, communicate and present financial data in all mediums
- Experience working with manufacturing companies and familiarity with standard shipping, logistics and supply chain procedures
- Excellent at managing multiple priorities with precise attention to detail
- Proactive problem solving, solutioning and investigative skills

- CPA or CMA designation a plus (or working toward)
- Experience leading software conversions

Driver

Position Description
Drivers at Fast DMS are responsible for moving parts, either boxed or palletized, in and around the Phoenix, AZ metro area. In addition to driving, Drivers are responsible for packing boxes or pallets, loading, and handling delivery paperwork.
Position Daily Activities
- Packs parts into boxes or pallets at industrial or commercial
- Loads boxes or pallets by hand or using a forklift or pallet jack
- Plan efficient route to destination
- Drive loads safely up to 40 miles one-way
- Unloads boxes or pallets by hand or using a forklift or pallet jack
- Obtains customers signature or collects payment for delivery
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of valid class D (minimum) driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Forklift certification
- Ability to drive 26-foot box truck
- Ability to drive truck with 20-foot trailer in tow
- Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs
Bonus Requirements
- Experience working with manufacturing companies and familiarity with standard shipping procedures
- Experience packing parts and wrapping pallets for safe shipment
- Experience loading trucks and trailers safely and securely
